8.34am
Seth: Any news on Lexi?
Phyllis: She was only submitted to hospital last
night - I haven't spoken to the doctors since I was there
last night but upon arrival the doctors think she is just
badly bruised..
Seth: Ah right. So nothing serious then?
Phyllis: She fell 1 storey - she's just bruised badly
but the doctors are keeping her in just to make sure nothing
serious is wrong.
Seth: And Rik? I assume he's spent last night at her
bedside?
Phyllis: Well if he hasn't then he has a lot of
answers to give.
Seth: The police - have they said anything yet?
Phyllis: The doctors don't want Lexi questioned just
yet. I think that will be happening later today. They
quickly asked Rik and I some questions but we know just as
much as anyone else since we were in the pub last night.

Phyllis: I suppose
I'll have to get a move on. The pub doesn't open until 12pm
but there's plenty to do. You wouldn't mind giving me a hand
with the dishes would you?
Seth: No, I'll help. But first I'll go and feed the
baby and take the dog for a walk.
[Doorbell rings]
Phyllis: If that's a customer then they can sod off.
It's Sunday and we don't open until later.
Seth: Will I get it then?
Phyllis: No, let me.

Phyllis: Hello... and
who may you be?
Delia: I'm Delia.
Phyllis: Hi Delia. And what may I do you for?
Delia: I don't know... I'm looking for somebody.
Phyllis: And just who is that somebody?
Delia: Dave. Dave Land.

9.23am
Ben and Lou spent the night at a hotel outside
Riverside.
Lou: Thanks so much for last night. I'm so glad we
sorted things out.
Ben: Yeah, so am I. Listen, about our little argument
before, I'm sorry. It's just my relationship with my mother
is complicated. It gets in the way of things sometimes.
Lou: It's okay. And I'm sorry for throwing water in
your face.
Ben: It's okay, I don't mind. I probably deserved it.
Lou: You didn't - I overreacted. Just promise me that
you'll try and not let your mother get between us again. I'd
hate for something like that to happen again.
Ben: I'll have a word with her later.
Lou: Thanks.

Ben: So erm, I was thinking, are you doing anything
later today?
Lou: Oh my God!
Ben: What is it?

Lou: My garden - somebody turned on the sprinklers.
My garden's ruined!

Ben is alone in Lou's house - she is outside cleaning up the
mess in her garden. Ben notices her answer machine has one
new message on it.
Answer machine: Lou, it's Lexi. Call me as soon as
you get this message - it's urgent. I just saw Jackie, Ben's
mum, digging up your garden. I think she was burying a body
but I'm... arrghhh...
Ben: Mother! You stupid woman! (Deletes message from
answer machine)

Seth: She was asking for Dave?
Phyllis: Yes! And she mentioned Kerry as well - she
asked if they were still together.
Seth: Did you tell her Dave was dead and that Kerry
was on the run.
Phyllis: No.
Seth: That is very unlike you. I thought you'd throw
back a sarcastic comment or something similar.
Phyllis: Seth, for once in my life I was speechless.
I didn't know what to say.
Seth: So you brought her in here.
Phyllis: I'll break it to her later. For all I know
she cold be a relation of Dave's - she might take the news
badly.
Seth: And the two kids - are they hers?
Phyllis: Yes, they're called Jude and Demi.

Phyllis: And you know what the worst part is - she
wants to stay here.
Seth: What?!
Phyllis: I think she thinks this is some kind of
hotel or bed and breakfast.
Seth: What will you tell her?
Phyllis: I'll talk to her later to try and find out
more information.

Kate: So you and Ben are back together?
Lou: Yes, I think. I just hope his mother doesn't
interfere again.
Kate: I don't like her. Her name's Jackie, right?
Lou: Yes.
Kate: She just seems like the type of person who
likes to now everybody else's business.
Lou: Yeah, I get that impression too.
Kate: Anyway, moving on, are we going out tonight.
Lou: I suppose so. I haven't made plans with Ben so I
think we can.
Kate: Well I suppose it'll just be the two of us
then. We can't invite Lexi because she's in hospital and...
Lou: Lexi's in hospital?
Kate: Yeah. Didn't you hear?
Lexi: No. What happened?

Kate: She fell from the roof of the pub.
Lou: She fell?
Kate: That's what's going around. But rumour has it
she was pushed but you know what people around here are like
- they like to gossip and exaggerate things.
Lou: Is she okay?
Kate: From what I hear, she's fine, just bruised and
battered.
Lou: Should we go in and see her?
Kate: I went last night to the hospital with Rik and
Phyllis and the doctors say she should be home anytime
between today and tomorrow. I don't see the point in going
to the hospital. We can go and visit her when she gets home
though.

1.34pm
Ben: This place smells like...
Jackie: Somebody died here?
Ben: Yes, exactly. I just hope the only dead body in
here is of Rob's.
Jackie: What do you mean?
Ben: I know you pushed Lexi from the roof of the pub.
Jackie: How do you know?
Ben: Lexi left a message on Lou's answer machine just
before she was pushed. It was about you digging up Lou's
garden. I deleted the message.
Jackie: Thank you. So what about Lou's garden?
Ben: Lou doesn't know it was dug up - she just think
somebody turned on the water sprinklers.
Jackie: Good.

Jackie: And last night - you and Lou?
Ben: I did exactly as you told me. I took her to the
most romantic restaurant in Riverside before taking her out
of the town to a really nice hotel. She loved it.
Jackie: Good. You'll have to keep this up for a few
weeks. Make her fall in love with you. Therefore when we
kill her we won't be suspects.
Ben: Yeah, I'll try.
Jackie: Just promise me one thing - don't fall in
love with her.
Ben: I'll try but it's not something I can control.
Jackie: Every time you think you might love her, just
think about what she did. She killed your brother.

Ben: I don't think that could stop me falling in
love.
Jackie: You've never been in love before - no girl
has ever stayed with you for that long.
Ben: I know. And that's why being with Lou might be
so hard - as soon as I feel like I'm falling in love I might
not want to give that up. After all, she is a nice girl.
Jackie: Well, whether you like it or not, she's going
to pay for what she did. Nobody kills a member of my family
and gets away with it.
Ben: I'm assuming that you expect me to kill her? Or
will you hire a hit man?
Jackie: Well since you've killed before and I never
have, you will. Hiring a hit man would be too risky.

Lisa: Hello.
Lou: Hi, Lisa?
Lisa: Yeah, this is her.
Lou: Hi it's Lou. I'm just wondering if you fancy
coming over to mine tonight for a few drinks. Kate will be
here too.
Lisa: I'm not sure, you see Paul's away and I'd have
to leave the kids alone.
Lou: I only live across the road - and can't you
leave your kids alone, I thought they were teenagers?
Lisa: Yeah, I suppose I can leave them alone. I'll be
over at about 7pm-ish.
Lou: Fine, see you then.

6.34pm
Kate: So Delia, how did you end up in Sim Street.
Delia: Oh I used to live here. I thought I'd pop back
here and look around.
Lou: I bumped into her in the pub earlier today and
we got chatting. I asked her out tonight...
Delia: And here I am.
Kate: Are you thinking of sticking around?
Delia: If I can get a place to stay in, then yes.
Lou: Oh! Why don't you stay here? Kate already does
and we have a spare bedroom.
Delia: I'd love too but I can't. I have two kids -
one's nearly 3 and the other's 7. I think it would prefer a
place on my own.
(Doorbell rings)
Lou: I'll get that - it'll be Lisa.

Lisa: So Lou, what
happened with your garden? I noticed it was ruined when I
passed by this morning.
Lou: The sprinklers were turned on and it has been
flooded. It also seems like somebody dug it up but I can't
be sure, it's such a mess.
Lisa: Dug up?
Lou: Yeah.
Lisa: How strange.
Delia: Yeah, it was probably just yobs, you know how
they just do things like that to annoy people.
Kate: It wouldn't surprise me if it was yobs that
pushed Lexi from the pub roof.
Lisa: Lou, can I use your toilet?
Lou: Yeah, just go upstairs and it's the first door
on your left.

8.23pm
Lisa is standing on the balcony in Lou's house. She has been
snooping around Lou's house for the past 10 minutes and is
now on the home to Paul, her husband.

Lisa: Paul, I'm so worried right now.
Paul: What is it?
Lisa: I don't want to say what it is but it has me
really worried.
Paul: C'mon, tell me. Or is it really that bad?
Lisa: Hmm, I don't feel comfortable telling you over
the phone.
Paul: You aren't pregnant are you? You haven't gotten
back into prostitution?
Lisa: No, it's none of those.
Paul: Then?
Lisa: I did something bad in the past, something I
deeply regret and I think I'm going to be found out. It's
something you should know but I'll wait until I see you in
person until I tell you.
Paul: But I won't be home for a few weeks. I'm in
America on a business trip.
Lisa: Then it'll have to wait then.

Lou: You took your time at the toilet.
Lisa: Yeah, sorry about that.
Lou: It's no problem, I was just curious as to what
you were doing.
Delia: Yeah, what were you doing?
Lisa: The toilet.
Delia: And what else?
Lisa: I made a phone call.
Delia: Okay. No need to make a big deal out of it.
Lisa: I'm not making a big deal out of it.
Delia: Fine, just sit down.
(Phone rings)
Lisa: That's mine.

Lisa: Hello... Yes, this is Lisa. Yes, I am her
mother... Okay, I'll be there straight away.
Delia: You're leaving?
Lisa: My daughter has been submitted to hospital. I
don't know what's happened but I'm going straight there.
I'll see you lot later.

Delia: Well that was, erm, weird.
Lou: She's okay when you get to know her.
Delia: Oh she seems fine enough on the surface - it
was just the snooping around, the lying and the phone calls.
Kate: The lying?
Delia: Well she told us she was at the toilet and on
the phone but clearly she was snooping around. I mean,
hello! We all heard her opening and shutting doors as well
as hearing her move about upstairs.
Kate: Yeah, that was quite weird.
Lou: You've made me quite suspicious of her now.
Delia: Well you have something to be suspicious of.
Lou: Yeah.
Delia: Maybe she was the one who ruined your garden.
Lou: Now you're just talking crazy. (Laughs)
Kate: Yeah. Anyway, come on, lets head downtown. I
know this fantastic place we can go.

2.32am
Delia: Oooh! Phyllis, you're up. I didn't know you
were a woman of the night!
Phyllis: How dare you... but dear, I was waiting up
for you. I have something
to ask you.
Delia: Well then ask away then. I ain't got all
night.

Phyllis: I've been
wondering... just who exactly are you?
Delia: Who am I? I'm Delia Vass ma'am.
Phyllis: I know that - and I also know that you are
absolutely drunk out of your mind - but why are you here?
Delia: I'm looking for Dave - I'm his wife.
