4 - If Only Life Was Simple |

Ah, Sim Street, a quiet
place, a place where, on the outside, life seems simple and
easy. But on the inside, it's where secrets lurk and nothing
is what it seems. Of course, nothing would be like this if
it hadn't been for the arrival of the Smith family. |

Kerry:
Hiya Lauren. Listen, thanks for giving me this job here. I know
I've got the cafe but it's been going downhill for months.
Lauren: It's no problem. Glad to help.
Kerry: So have you returned the
letters yet?
Lauren: Yep, I went over earlier tonight, they were
all in the garden so I just popped in and laid them on the
coffee table. Nobody noticed a thing.
Kerry: Okay, well it still puzzles me what they did.
Lauren: Yeah, me too. Anyway, you can stop now, the
place is empty tonight. Just tidy up and go home, nobody
else will be in tonight.
Kerry: Yep, fine, if that's what you say. |

Angel: What are they talking about?! Hmm, sounds like
the Smiths have some secret. I wonder what it possibly could
be? |

Marie: Listen Steve, I'm off shopping. I need new
clothes before we go speed dating next week. You ought to
come, your needing some new stuff too.
Steve: No it's okay, I'll just stay here. You go on
ahead
Marie: No, your coming, I'll drag you there if I have
too!
Steve: No, I can't go. I'm erm...
urm... not feeling well, yeah that's right, I'm not feeling
well.
Marie: Yeah whatever. Just you stay there. You can
turn up to the speed dating in old, ripped, stinky clothes. |

Mike: Listen Angel,
I told you not to call here. This is too suspicious, Lynda
is still onto me.
Angel: I'm sorry, I just have something to tell you,
it's important!
Mike: Well forget it! I don't want to hear. Don't
call here again. |

Lynda:
This is it. You have some
cheek phoning her. You said you'd leave all that behind but
you just can't. Who the hell is she then? What does she have
that I don't?! Tell me Mike! Don't just stand there.
Mike: She phoned here, I'm telling her to get lost!
Lynda: Well try harder Mike. |
|

|

|
|

|
|
|
|
Lynda:
And another thing! You can stop rubbing it in
Mike. I still love you but all you can do is rub my face in
it with phone calls from her and the smell of her perfume on
your clothes!
Mike: I still love you Lynda, I'm sorry, it's just... |
|
| |
|
|
|
|

|
|
|
|
Lynda:
Just what?! Listen Mike, there's no excuse. If I hear you
talking about her again then I'm leaving and taking the kids
with me. I'll divorce you and leave you penniless. This is
the last warning Mike. One more time and I'm outta here! |

Kelly has been chatting on MSN Messenger for the past
hour. She is waiting for Kevin, the guy who she has been speaking to
secretly for the past few weeks, to come online. The doorbell rings.

|
|
|
|
Kelly: Hi
Kevin: Hey, your Kelly,
right?
Kelly: Yeah, why? What'd
you want?
Kevin: It's me, Kevin,
I'm the mystery guy. I'm who
you've talking too secretly for
the past few weeks.
Kelly: Oh! Hiya, come
here you. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Kelly: So what brings you to Sim
Street then?
Kevin: I just wanted to see you. Oh, and it was a
nightmare finding your address.
Kelly: Oh, sorry. Anyway, what do you want to do now
your here?
Kevin: We need to talk, let's go for a walk shall we? |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Lexi: Hey Steve, is Marie around?
Steve: Nah, she's away speed dating. What do you want
her for?
Lexi: Just a girly chat that's all. There's nothing
much else to do.
Steve: Come and sit then, we can talk.
Lexi: Are you good at talking about make up and all
things girly then?
Steve: No! But I'm better than nothing. |
|
| |
Steve: So, why are you really here
then?
Lexi: I said, I'm here to see Marie.
Steve: Yeah right. You never talk to her normally.
Lexi: I was desperate.
Steve: Nothing changes there then! |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Lexi: So, what's this we're watching?
Steve: Sshhh, we're missing the action
Lexi: Well sorry.

Ken: Honey, where's the letters that
were on the coffee table?
Karen: They're still there, look.

Ken: Look, they aren't there!
Karen: Well I haven't touched them.
 |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Karen: Look, they're on the coffee
table, you must have misplaced them.
Ken: I definitely didn't put them there, I put them
on the side table.
Karen: Well I haven't moved them, honestly.
Ken: I know, you haven't, you would have told me if
you did.
Karen: Yeah see, but I don't see what the big deal
is.
Ken: Well, nobody else could have moved them, the
kids have been out all day. Somebody's been in the house.
Somebody has read these letters that shouldn't have.
Karen: Don't be silly.
 |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Ken: No, somebody has definitely read
and moved these, and if it wasn't you or the kids, then it
was somebody who shouldn't have.
 |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Ken: And I'm going to find that person
and I'll make sure they regret ever breaking in and reading
these
